Wayne Mills Memorial Tournament @ Hillandale Country Club
Several members from Green oaks Golf Course in Columbus Mississippi made their annual pilgramage to participate in this annual event. The week started Friday at 12:00 with the Afternoon Scat Game, followed by the 5 PM Scramble. Later Friday evening, a band played on the Patio. From where I was they sounded pretty good. Sorry but I do not know the name of this band or the one that played on Saturday after the dinner, Saturday the main event starteed with a shotgun start at 8 AM.The rest of the players started a 1Pm. Saturdays dinner consisted of chicken and Fish being served while the flighting for Sunday was figured out. A band started to play at 7Pm with dancing allowed. Sunday morn the 8 AM players got a little wet as the rains came in for about an hour.I don't have the final standing but is someone could send me a listing of the finishing scores or photos of the final sheets, I will post them. Most of the pople know that I don't eat fish or chicken and usually make myself other arrangements for a meal Saturday night. This time, Dick Spinks and his wife arranged for the kitchen to cook me a steak for dinner, which I gladly ate while others enjoyed their food. I really appreciated the efforts of both Dick and his wife, Thank you.
